Velikost zrnc je 0,2-2,8 mm. Uporablja se kot material za peskanje (površinska zaščita, doseganje hrapavosti in čiščenje površine). Sestava : železov oksid 40-42, silicijev dioksid 34-36, aluminijev oksid 4-4,5, kalcijev oksid 6,0-7,6, magnezijev oksid 2,0-2,2, silicij <1, baker 0,2-0,24, svinec <1 in cink 0,6-0,8 mas %.
