Erläuterungen zum Harmonisierten System (HS) Die Dithionite (Hydrosulfite) sind Salze der dithionigen Säure (H2S2O4), die im freien Zustand nicht isoliert werden kann. Diese Salze werden aus mit Schwefeldioxid gesättigten Hydrogensulfitlösungen durch Reduktion (mit Zinkpulver) gewonnen. Sie sind Reduktionsmittel, die in der chemischen Industrie, Textilindustrie und Zuckerindustrie hauptsächlich zum Bleichen verwendet werden.
