Zmes različnih vrst komunalnih, nenevarnih odpadkov, v obliki drobirja sive barve, z velikostjo delcev med 2 in 3 cm. Odpadek sestavljajo naslednje frakcije: - cca 60% do 70% plastike (brez PVC) - cca 10% - 20% tekstila, - cca 5% do 10% papirja, - < 5% lesa ter - < 5% ostalih frakcij (nedefinirano). Odpadek nastaja pri postopku večstopenjske mehanske obdelave. V prvi fazi se v drobilcu izvede grobo mletje odpadkov. Nato se na permanentnemu magnetnemu separatorju izločijo magnetne kovine (Fe), sledi izločitev barvnih kovin (Cu, Al). Tok odpadkov potuje v zračni separator, kjer se izloči težka frakcija: kamenje, nerjavno jeklo, steklo, preostale kovine in drugi težki materiali. Preostali odpadek izmenično potuje v dva mlina (granulatorja), kjer se izvede homogenizacija in mletje odpadkov na želeno velikost delcev (< 3 cm).
