Die Ware besitzt einen über die gesamte Länge gleichbleibenden, kreisförmigen Querschnitt mit Durchmessern von 0,80, 1,00, 1,20 und 1,60 mm. Sie wird in Drahtkorbspulen oder Fässern (aufgerollt) gehandelt. Die Drahtelektrode wird zum Schweißen (MIG/MAG) z.B. in der Automobilindustrie verwendet. Zolltariflich handelt es sich um Draht aus einer anderen Kupferlegierung.
