Nach den Angaben der Antragstellerin und den vorgelegten Unterlagen handelt es sich um ein sog. Übungsschießgerät in Form einer Panzerfaust. Mit dem Erzeugnis kann die Handhabung und das Verschießen von Munition mit einer Panzerfaust geübt werden. Dabei wird jedoch kein üblicher Gefechtskopf verschossen, sondern Munition vom Kaliber 7,62 NATO Standard (mit oder ohne Leuchtspur). Dieses System wird -wie auch bei der "Echtwaffe"- von der Schulter verschossen. Die Verwendung als "Übungswaffe" steht der zolltarifrechtlichen Einordnung als Kriegswaffe nicht entgegen. Zolltarifrechtlich handelt es sich um eine Kriegswaffe, andere als in den Unterpositionen (KN) 9301 1000 bis 9301 2000 genannt.

Wenn die Active Electronically Scanned Arrays ein Ziel geortet haben, werden der Azimut- und Elevationswinkel, die Geschwindigkeit und Entfernung des Ziels, der wahrscheinliche Einschlagspunkt, die Zeit bis zum Einschlag und der Startpunkt des Ziels berechnet. Dadurch kann der Schütze den Gegner unverzüglich bekämpfen. Befindet sich ein Projektil auf Kollisionskurs zum eigenen Fahrzeug, wird diese Information an die abstandsaktiven Schutzsysteme weitergegeben. Das Schutzsystem richtet dann im Azimut eine projektilbildende Ladung auf die Bedrohung aus. Die Ladung wird gezündet, wenn sich das angreifende Projektil wenige Meter vor dem Panzer befindet. Die Explosion der Ladung erzeugt einen Splitterkegel, der die angreifende Waffe zerstört (sog. Hardkill-Variante). Es befindet sich jeweils eine Abschusseinheit auf jeder Turmseite. Nach dem Schuss wird die Einheit durch einen Autolader neu bestückt.
