Zu Unterpositionen 1102 20 10 und 1102 20 90: Zur Bestimmung des Fettgehalts ist gemäß der Verordnung (EWG) Nr. 1748/85 der Kommission (ABl. L 167 vom 27.6.1985, S. 26) die in Anhang III Teil G der Verordnung (EG) Nr. 152/2009 der Kommission (ABl. L 54 vom 26.2.2009, S. 1) beschriebene Analysenmethode anzuwenden. Zu diesen Unterpositionen gehört auch als ‚Masa-Mehl‘ bezeichnetes Maismehl, das durch ein als ‚Nixtamalisierung‘ bezeichnetes Verfahren gewonnen wurde, welches durch Kochen und Quellen von Maiskörnern in Calciumhydroxid-Lösung und anschließendes Trocknen und Vermahlen charakterisiert ist. Eine darüber hinausgehende Bearbeitung, wie z. B. ein Röstvorgang, führt jedoch zum Ausschluss aus der Position 1102 (im Allgemeinen Kapitel 19).
