Sie enthalten praktisch keine Stärke, weisen jedoch einen hohen Gehalt an Protein und Fettstoffen auf. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit ist geboten bei der Einreihung von ausgelösten Hülsenfrüchten, die unter der Bezeichnung „green soja beans“ oder „green beans“ gehandelt werden. Hierbei handelt es sich vielfach nicht um Sojabohnen, sondern um Bohnen, die zu Position 0713 gehören.
Erläuterungen zum Harmonisierten System (HS) Sojabohnen sind ein sehr wichtiger Ausgangsstoff für pflanzliches Öl.
