Erläuterungen zum Harmonisierten System (HS) Zu dieser Position gehören Erdnüsse, auch geschält oder geschrotet, die weder geröstet noch auf andere Weise hitzebehandelt sind. Erdnüsse dieser Position können zur Verbesserung ihrer Haltbarkeit mit Wärme behandelt sein (siehe Allgemeines). Geröstete oder auf andere Weise hitzebehandelte Erdnüsse gehören zu Kapitel 20. Als „Saatgut von Erdnüssen“ im Sinne der Unterposition 1202 30 gilt nur solches, das von den zuständigen nationalen Behörden als Saatgut anerkannt ist.
Zu Unterposition 1202 42: 1. Trocken blanchierte Erdnüsse – geschälte Erdnüsse, hitzebehandelt um die Haut zu brechen und zu lockern. Nach dem Abkühlen werden die Samen durch Bürsten oder gerippte Gummiprofile geführt, um die Haut zu entfernen. Die Erdnüsse haben einen Feuchtigkeitsgehalt von nicht weniger als 4 % und zeigen eine positive enzymatische Aktivität in Bezug auf Peroxidase und Katalase. Anwendung der Allgemeinen Vorschriften 1, 3 und 6.

Die geschälten Erdnüsse werden blanchiert, indem sie einen Gasofen mit vier Erhitzungszonen passieren; darin werden die Kerne durch Besprühen mit 88 - 93 °C heißem Wasserdampf gedämpft, bevor sie durch zwei Kühlzonen geleitet werden. Aufgrund des stufenweisen Erhitzens quellen die Kerne auf, so dass sich die rötliche Haut ablöst. Die Haut wird anschließend auf mechanischem Weg entfernt. Die Erdnüsse, die keine weitere Veränderung als das Entfernen der Samenhaut erfahren haben, werden lose oder in „big bags“ von etwa 1 000 kg gestellt. …
