Sie können jedoch mit abnehmbaren Deckeln ausgestattet sein. (entfallen) Fassstäbe werden meistens aus Kastanien- oder Eichenholz hergestellt. (entfallen) und Als Teile gelten z.B. Fassdauben und Fassbodenbretter. Fassdauben sind gehobelte Bretter, mit mehr oder weniger gewölbtem Profil, zumindest an einem Ende verjüngt oder abgeschrägt und mit einer Nute versehen, um das Zusammensetzen zu ermöglichen.
