Zu Unterposition 7004 90: 1. Im Fusions-Verfahren hergestellte Glasplatte. Diese Glasplatte ist ultradünn, glatt und gleichmäßig und wird zum Schutz der Bildschirme von mobilen Geräten wie Tablets, Smartphones und anderen elektronischen Geräten verwendet. Bei der Herstellung dieser Glasplatte wird gleichmäßig gerührtes geschmolzenes Glas in eine V-förmige Wanne gegossen, die als "isoliertes Rohr" bezeichnet wird, bis es überläuft und zwei gleichmäßige Ströme geschmolzenen Glases entlang der Außenfläche der Wanne bildet. Die beiden Glasströme treffen am Boden der V-förmigen Wanne wieder zusammen. Durch die Schwerkraft nach unten gezogen, werden die Glasscheiben durch den Kontakt mit der Luft abgekühlt, dann auf die gewünschte Form geschnitten und entsprechend verpackt.
