Sie besteht im Wesentlichen aus einer Gold - Silber - Legierung mit einem Goldgehalt von 84%. Die Plättchen werden durch Stanzen aus gewalztem Material hergestellt und in Packungen mit einem Inhalt von 31,1 g gehandelt. Die Erzeugnisse werden in der Zahntechnik verwendet.
