Magnesiumblock Bei der Ware handelt es sich um einen Block, hergestellt im Strangussverfahren und spanender Bearbeitung (Fräsen) der Oberfläche, aus einer Magnesiumlegierung, laut Angaben MgAl3Zn1. Ein quaderförmiger Abschnitt eines solchen Blockes mit einer Dicke/Breite von 190 mm weist eine metallische Oberfläche auf, mit erkennbaren Bearbeitungsspuren. Die spanende Bearbeitung dient zum Entfernen der Gusshaut. Die Blöcke können wärmebehandelt sein. Ein über grobes Entgraten hinausgehende Bearbeitung hat nicht stattgefunden. Verwendet werden die Blöcke zum Auswalzen zu Platten und Blechen. Es handelt sich um anderes Magnesium in Rohform.
